Following the recent completion of Infant & Young Child Nutrition (IYCN) Project activities in Zambia, Dr. Nanthalile Mugala, former IYCN Country Coordinator, will share results, lessons learned, and tools from a range of activities aiming to prevent malnutrition during the first 1,000 days of life, from pregnancy through two years of age. Dr. Mugala will share what works when it comes to strengthening nutrition assessment, counseling, and support and changing maternal nutrition and child feeding behaviors. She will also discuss current challenges and opportunities related to improving nutrition of mothers and children and building healthier futures in Zambia.
The brown bag will feature a special screening of the project’s new video on strengthening linkages between nutritional support activities in Zambian communities and health facilities.
