USAID's Infant & Young Child Nutrition Project

Summary: This curriculum for health workers is based on the World Health Organization and United Nations Children’s Fund Infant and Young Child Feeding Counselling: An Integrated Course. Given the urgency of training large numbers of health workers and counselors, this integrated course has been adapted to respond to the specific needs in Lesotho by training those who care for mothers and children in the basics of good infant and young child feeding. Counseling is an extremely important part of this course, and the course focuses on practicing with job aids to improve counseling skills.
