The PATH nutrition and PMTCT team provided technical assistance to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation’s Project Heart in South Africa from 2007 to 2011. The goal of this support was to strengthen infant and young child feeding within programming for prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV in order to ensure HIV-free survival. The culminating activity of this PATH and EGPAF partnership was the development of an infant and young child feeding integration guide.
